Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to BiuFast VPN and related mobile applications and services provided by ByteInit LLC (collectively, the "Service"). We value your privacy and aim to process personal information in a transparent, necessary, and limited manner. This Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
Important: The Service is a VPN client application with related online features. We do not access your browsing content, chat content, photos, videos, or other private files for ad targeting or data sales.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account-related identifiers, such as Android device identifiers, app installation identifiers, display names, invite codes, and the content you send when contacting us.
- Configuration data that you manually enter, import, or sync, such as nodes, subscription links, protocols, ports, routing rules, and connection preferences.
- When you use WireGuard, the device public key and device access token used for configuration sync. The WireGuard private key remains in secure storage on your device.
- Purchase and subscription information, such as product identifiers, subscription state, region, transaction result, and entitlement status.
1.2 Information Collected During Use
- Device and app information, such as app version, device model, OS version, language, region settings, crash data, and basic diagnostic information.
- Operational data, such as sign-in state, node sync state, connection state, protocol selection, latency test results, categorized error reasons, reward status, and subscription page activity.
- Commercial and service data, such as free access time, ad-reward state, daily claim limits, VIP state, product lists, purchase access, and node lists.
- Ad-related information, such as ad load status, ad interaction outcome, and reward eligibility. Ad SDKs may separately process data described in their own privacy policies.
1.3 VPN and Network Processing
- The Service uses Android's VpnService capability to establish VPN connections and process traffic on your device.
- We do not upload your browsing content, communications content, or full network payloads to ByteInit LLC for product analytics.
- When you connect to a VPN, the selected node or its operator processes the connection information needed to provide network forwarding, such as an IP address and data required for forwarding.
- To keep the Service available, the app may perform local reachability checks, latency tests, DNS resolution checks, and network state checks.
2. How We Use Information
We process information for the following purposes:
- To provide VPN connections, node and WireGuard configuration synchronization, subscription management, device recognition, invite binding, and reward features.
- To process payments, validate subscriptions, restore entitlements, and display product catalogs. VIP entitlements are limited to ad removal, removal of the free-tier speed limit, and no daily usage-time limit.
- To maintain stability and security, including diagnosing failures, handling exceptions, limiting abuse, identifying compatibility issues, and improving connection success rates.
- To perform basic product analytics, such as page views, connection funnel events, node selection, subscription conversion, and feature usage.
- To display ads, manage ad frequency, and determine whether ad and reward features are available.
- To comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and respond to lawful requests.
3. Permissions We Rely On
- BIND_VPN_SERVICE / VpnService: Required to establish and maintain VPN connections.
- INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required to connect to nodes, sync service data, check connectivity, and perform basic network checks.
- FOREGROUND_SERVICE and related foreground service permissions: Used to keep the VPN service running reliably while connected.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS, where applicable: Used for connection status and required service notifications.
4. Third-Party Services and SDKs
We may integrate the following third-party services, or functionally similar versions of them, to support the Service:
- Firebase Analytics: For basic product metrics and event analytics, including page views, connection flow, and subscription flow.
- Firebase Crashlytics: For crash and ANR diagnostics so that we can fix app stability issues.
- Google Mobile Ads / AdMob: For ad delivery, rewarded ads, and ad performance measurement. These services may process device identifiers, IP address, and ad interaction data.
- Google Play Billing: For subscription purchase, transaction validation, entitlement recovery, and billing status handling.
Third-party providers process data under their own privacy policies. For Google's privacy policy, please visit https://policies.google.com/privacy.
5. Storage and Retention
- Most configuration data and runtime data are stored locally on your device.
- Service-related data for device recognition, catalog, subscription, invite binding, node synchronization, or WireGuard configuration synchronization may be processed on servers operated by ByteInit LLC or its service providers to provide online functionality.
- We retain data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:
- With payment, analytics, advertising, cloud, and security providers where necessary to operate the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests from regulators, courts, or other authorities.
- In connection with a merger, restructuring, financing, acquisition, asset sale, or similar transaction, where permitted by law.
- With your consent or at your direction.
7. Your Rights and Choices
- You may manage optional permissions, such as notification permission, through your device settings.
- You may delete local configuration data by clearing app data, removing saved configurations, or uninstalling the app.
- You may manage ad personalization preferences through system or Google account settings.
- Where applicable law provides, you may contact us to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of processing for relevant personal information.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children where restricted by applicable law. If you are a minor, please use the Service only with the consent and guidance of a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child provided personal information without proper authorization, please contact us.
